HOW TO COOK DELICOUS TOFU AT HOME
INTRODUCTION
Tofu which is made from condensed milk and also known as
“Bean Curd”. Tofu is one of the most popular food in Asia and in China tofu is
one of the best foods. The place of origin is Han China and it has been
consumed for over 2000 years in China. Tofu is silk and soft food and it
contain subtle flavor. Although Tofu is low calorie food containing huge amount
of protein because tofu is made by condensed milk and tofu also contain high
amount of calcium and magnesium.
RECIPE OF TOFU
In this recipe I am going to tell that how can cook and
baked delicious tofu at home and I am also sharing three easy ways to flavor
your tofu. So, when it comes to making crispy baked tofu you always want to
look for extra firm baked tofu. Extra firm tofu considers less amount of water
in it because the drier the tofu the crispier it will be. So, I first recommend
to look for a tofu which is pure organic with non-GMO. So first preheat your
oven up-to 400-degree F. When you start un packing your tofu so will notice
that it will come with a lot water so you have to dump all the water from it
and put your tofu on the cutting board then slice your tofu into three pieces
then lay it down and make to more vertical slices to create three rows and then
rotate the board and cut it from another angle to make tofu in a square shape.
The cube should be fairly uniform in size. The next step is to press the tofu
which is simply mean to squish as much of the content of water remember the
drier the tofu the crispier it is going to be then take towel and gently put
cubes of your tofu on towel and just lays all the square individually on the
towel because this the way to get much amount of water from the cubes of tofu
then lie another towel over the cubes of tofu and put a round baking sheet a
couple cast iron sheet skillets on the top because this is the way you can get
all amount of water from the cubes of the tofu. In case if you didn’t have the
iron skillet you can use teapot or anything that weight is going to work then
just leave it for 15-30 minutes and then you will see when you remove both of
the towel soaked all amount of the water from the cubes of the tofu and Cubes
of the tofu become super dry so that’s mean we are going to season our tofu.
First take medium size bowl and put 1 tea spoon of low sodium tamari or you can
also use low sodium soya sauce in the place of tofu then put 1 tea spoon of
avocado oil and ¼ tea spoon of kosher
salt and put ¼ tea spoon of black pepper and then ½ tea spoon of garlic powder
then start gently whisk all together then put all cubes of tofu in this bowl
and then toss all cubes and start marinade if you want delicious and crisped
tofu then take 1 table spoon of corn starch and start mixing until any white
powdery left over in the bowl. Incase if you don’t have corn starch or you
don’t prefer to use it so you can also use arrowroot powder instead of
cornstarch Because this is going to create another extra layer of texture
outside of tofu which makes tofu looks delicious. Now take a rimmed baking
sheet lined with some parchment paper and spread all the tofu cubes out on the
baking sheet and making sure that they don’t touch each other and put the cubes
into the 400-degree F for 30 minutes flipping them halfway through now when
they are done cooking you are going to see that they look crisped and delicious
and golden brown from the outside and the center of it is going to be nice and
tender. You just give the tofu a couple of minutes to cool because it takes
everything a chance to set up then you will get delicious tofu and it is ready
to eat just like it because tofu has such a neutral flavor you can also toss
them in just about any type of sauce that you want take this in a Brazilian
direction. So, we are sharing top 3 flavors of tofu 1. Buffalo tofu 2. barbeque
tofu 3. Teriyaki tofu
BUFFALO TOFU: For buffalo tofu put 2 TBLS
buffalo wing sauce with 1 TBLS of blue cheese dressing and then gently toss all
together in a medium size bowl and then put the baked tofu in the sauce then
just mixed the tofu around the bowl and start coating the sauce on the tofu and
put it on a platter along with some chopped up carrots and some chopped up
celery and a little blue cheese dressing to make it look extra delicious
BARBEQUE TOFU: For barbeque tofu put 1 TBLS of
BBQ sauce and then gentle toss all together in a medium size bowl and put the baked
tofu in the sauce then just mixed the tofu around the bowl and start coating
the tofu on the bowl but to make tofu more delicious put the cubes of the
barbeque in the fresh ranch chopped salad and its just become the fresh crunchy
simple and delicious and insanely satisfying
TERIYAKI TOFU: For Teriyaki tofu put 1 TBLS of
teriyaki sauce and then put sriracha sauce in it to make cubes of tofu more
delicious and then gently toss all together in the medium size bowl and put the
baked tofu in the sauce then just mixed the tofu around the bowl and start
coating the tofu in the bowl to make it more delicious put the tofu on the
boiled rice in bowl along with steamed broccoli and then just pile the sesame
seed.

and so can also use these 3 types of flavor to make tofu tastier.
Common Mistake in Making
Tofu
1. Dry the
cubes of the tofu carefully if you want the crispier tofu
2. Don’t
baked Tofu more than 30 minutes
3. During
baking be careful that the cubes of the tofu don’t touch each other
4. Don’t
use any extra material which can be spoil the taste of the tofu
